feltandspout offers free planning tools and links to our stories and nursery rhymes for parents and carers.

Using the checklist

Our hospital-bag list is a starting point. Adapt it to your circumstances and follow the advice of your own maternity unit and healthcare professionals. It is not medical advice and does not replace their guidance.

The checklist saves in your browser by default. An optional Google sign-in lets you save it to your account. Keep an additional copy of anything essential: clearing browser data, connectivity problems or service interruptions can affect availability. If versions differ, review them before choosing which list to keep.

Accounts and acceptable use

Account features are for adults. Use your own Google account and keep it secure. Do not attempt to access someone else’s information, disrupt the service or add unlawful content. You can request deletion at any time through our contact page.

Stories and external links

Videos play on YouTube when you follow a link. Availability, adverts and playback controls are managed by YouTube. Our original video production, artwork and recordings remain protected by their applicable rights; a traditional story’s age does not make our illustrations or recordings free to reuse. Contact us about permissions.

Some book-shopping links are affiliate links. We may earn a commission from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. We label the section containing those links as “Advertisement” before you follow them.

Our first book suggestions connect with the stories and rhymes on this website. Descriptions are based on publisher and retailer information; they are not claims that we have personally tested or reviewed each edition. These are books by other authors and publishers, not Felt & Spout editions.

You can use our free stories without buying anything. Read a book you already have, borrow from your local library or choose another retailer. Purchases, prices, availability, delivery and returns are handled by the retailer under its own terms. Any price shown here is a dated snapshot, not a live quote. Search-result links can show different sellers, editions and conditions, so check the ISBN, delivery cost and current details before ordering.
