Wind and Sun talk together in the sky.

One day, Wind and Sun were talking in the sky.

“I am stronger than you,” said Wind.

“No,” said Sun. “I am stronger.”

01

Wind and Sun watch a traveller wearing a cloak on the road below.

Then they saw a traveller walking down the road. He was wrapped in a warm cloak.

“Let us see who can make him take off his cloak,” said Sun. “You go first.”

02

The traveller holds his cloak tightly against the wind.

Wind blew and blew.

But the traveller held his cloak tighter.

Wind grew tired and stopped.

03

The traveller carries his cloak over his arm in the warm sunshine.

Then Sun shone, warm and gentle.

The traveller smiled. He opened his cloak.

Then he took it off and carried it over his arm.

“You are stronger,” said Wind.

04

Wind, Sun and the traveller share a calm moment beside the road.

And that is the moral of our story: kindness works better than force.

Be gentle. Be kind. Warmth can do what shouting cannot.
