TRADITIONAL STORY
The Wind and the Sun
Open the page-turning reader →
One day, Wind and Sun were talking in the sky.
“I am stronger than you,” said Wind.
“No,” said Sun. “I am stronger.”
01

Then they saw a traveller walking down the road. He was wrapped in a warm cloak.
“Let us see who can make him take off his cloak,” said Sun. “You go first.”
02

Wind blew and blew.
But the traveller held his cloak tighter.
Wind grew tired and stopped.
03

Then Sun shone, warm and gentle.
The traveller smiled. He opened his cloak.
Then he took it off and carried it over his arm.
“You are stronger,” said Wind.
04

And that is the moral of our story: kindness works better than force.
Be gentle. Be kind. Warmth can do what shouting cannot.
